Data Privacy Policy Objective :The purpose of this policy is to maintain the privacy of and protect the personal information of Research participants / respondents, employees, contractors, vendors, interns, associates, clients and business partners of Sixth Sense Research Solutions Pvt Ltd (hereafter referred to as "SSRS" or "the organization") and ensure compliance with laws and regulations applicable. This privacy policy is applicable to online respondent survey research, telephone survey research, in person interviews performed by Sixth Sense Research Solutions Pvt Ltd a company located in India.
Lawful Collection and Use of Data: Research serves an important function in helping promote the flow of information in open societies. Through survey research, businesses, political organizations and governments learn from representative samples of people. As a survey participant, your opinions help inform the development and improvement of new products and services, customer service programs, and public and social policies. We conduct survey research for the benefit of our clients, who include for-profit companies, non-profit organizations and governmental institutions. Confidentiality, Security and industry requirements :We take appropriate technological and organisational measures to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. Our security procedures are consistent with generally accepted commercial standards used to protect personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Recent Update: 25/07/2020 Accuracy: We take all reasonable steps to keep personal information in our possession or control, which is used on an on-going basis, accurate, complete, current and relevant, based on the most recent information available to us by you and/or by our client. We rely on you to help us keep your personal information accurate, complete and current by answering our questions honestly and you are responsible for ensuring that the data controller (which may be us or - more often - our client) is notified of any changes to your personal data.
Industry Requirements:
Data storage and retention: Personal information will be retained only for such period as is appropriate for its intended and lawful use, in this case we shall retain data for no longer than 12 months, unless otherwise required to do so by law. Personal information that is no longer required will be disposed of in ways that ensure their confidential nature is not compromised. As part of the Company Business Continuity plan and as required in certain instances by law, our electronic systems are backed up and archived. These archives are retained for a defined period of time in a strictly controlled environment. Once expired, the data is deleted and the physical media destroyed to ensure the data is erased completely.
Responsibilities and Compliance :The owner for the Data Privacy Policy shall be the Data Privacy. The Data Privacy Manager shall be responsible for maintenance and accuracy of this policy. Any queries regarding the implementation of this Policy shall be directed to the Data Privacy Manager. This policy shall be reviewed for updates by Data Privacy Manger. Additionally, the Data privacy policy shall be updated in-line with any major changes within the organizations Operating environment or on recommendations provided by internal / external experts / auditors. Compliance to the data privacy policy shall be reviewed on an annual basis by Privacy Review Team to ensure continuous compliance monitoring through the implementation of compliance measurements and periodic review processes. In cases where non-compliance is identified, the Data Privacy Manager shall review the reasons for such non-compliance along with a plan for remediation and report them to Privacy Review Team. Depending on the conclusions of the review, need for a revision to the policy may be identified. In Instances of persistent non-compliance by the individuals concerned, they shall be subject to action in accordance with the SSRS Disciplinary Policy.
